Grizzly guard sidelined

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Nov. 15 -- Memphis Grizzlies guard Michael Dickerson will miss at least a month after an MRI revealed a stress fracture near his groin, the team announced Thursday.

The extent of the injury was discovered during a re-evaluation of a strained abductor muscle in his right leg.

Dickerson, 26, suffered the injury during a game against Phoenix on Nov. 6 and sat out the following day against the Los Angeles Clippers. He eventually was placed on the injured list -- for a minimum of five games -- on Nov. 9.

Memphis top returning scorer, Dickerson has averaged 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season for the winless Grizzlies (0-7). In his fourth NBA campaign out of Arizona, Dickerson had missed just 12 games due to injury in the previous three seasons.
