The 31-year-old Pellerin, a nine-year NHL veteran, split last season between the Minnesota Wild and Carolina Hurricanes. He totaled 11 goals and 28 assists in 58 games for Minnesota and added five assists in 19 contests while with the Hurricanes.

"Scott is a hard-working, versatile forward who can play both center and wing," said Bruins General Manager Mike O'Connell. "(Coach) Robbie Ftorek is very familiar with Scott from their time in the New Jersey organization and he has a high regard for Scott and what he can bring to our team."

In addition to the Devils (1992-96), with whom Pellerin began his career, he has also spent time with the St. Louis Blues (1997-2000) and has 67 goals and 112 assists with 281 penalty minutes in 423 career contests.

The 5-11, 190-pound Pellerin enjoyed his finest NHL seasons with the Blues. He had career highs of 20 goals and 21 assists during the 1998-99 campaign.NEWLN:
