Zamuner, who plays both center and left wing, has spent the last two seasons with the Ottawa Senators. He scored a career-high 19 goals last season and added 18 assists for 37 points and 52 penalty minutes in 79 games.

"Rob is a good solid player who gives us versatility up front in that he can play both center and wing," Bruins general manager Mike O'Connell said. "He adds to your size down the middle and he's also good defensively."

On Monday, the Bruins signed defenseman Sean O'Donnell and right wing Martin Lapointe.

The Bruins become the fourth organization for the 31-year-old Zamuner, who has 113 goals, 148 assists, 261 points and 409 penalty minutes in 620 games for the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay and Ottawa. He played his first seven full seasons with Tampa Bay and was team captain in 1998-99.

Zamuner played for Canada in the 1998 Olympics.
