Tinsley drafted by Hawks, traded to Pacers

NEW YORK, June 27 -- The Vancouver Grizzlies, drafting for the Atlanta Hawks as part of a trade completed earlier in the day, drafted Iowa State point guard Jamaal Tinsley with the 27th pick in the NBA Draft Wednesday night and the Hawks promptly traded him to Indiana for a future first-round pick.

The 6-3, 185-pound Tinsley spent two seasons at San Jacinto Community College before leading Iowa State to back-to-back No. 2 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
