Senate confirms Solicitor General Olson

WASHINGTON, May 24 -- The Senate voted 51-47 Thursday to confirm Theodore B. Olson as Solicitor General at the Justice Department. The nearly party-line vote reflected concern by Democrats that Olson had not been candid with the Senate about his possible involvement in the anti-Clinton "Arkansas Project."
