LOS ANGELES, May 5 -- Actor Robert Blake's wife was found shot to death Friday night outside a Los Angeles restaurant police said Saturday.
Bonnie Blake was killed with one shot to the head.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said that they have not yet made an arrest in connection with the crime.
Blake told police he discovered his wife shot, and then went to a house nearby for help, the spokesman said.
Blake said he and his wife left the restaurant together, he went back in for something he forgot, and when he returned to the car he discovered his wife shot, CNN reported.
Film director Sean Stanek, the nearby resident who helped Blake, said that he called 911, hurried with Blake to the car, and found Blake's wife still alive, according to CNN.
Police said that Blake's wife was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
