DENVER, April 19 -- The Colorado Rockies placed lefthander Horacio Estrada on the 15-day disabled Thursday list with a sore pitching shoulder and recalled lefthander Tim Christman from Class AAA Colorado Springs.
Claimed off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers on March 29, Estrada is 1-1 with a 7.36 ERA in 3 2/3 innings over three relief appearances.
He made his last appearance on Sunday, tossing a scoreless inning and getting the win in a 10-7 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Christman, 25, has made six appearances, including two starts, for Colorado Springs. In 8 2/3 innings, he has allowed six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.
A 1996 11th-round draft pick, Christman has made it back from surgery to repair a torn left labrum that sidelined him for all but eight games last season.
