Kings acquire Jared Aulin

INGLEWOOD, Calif., March 22 -- The Los Angeles Kings acquired prospect Jared Aulin from the Colorado Avalanche Thursday to complete last month's trade that sent all-star defenseman Rob Blake to Colorado.

Aulin, 19, has played 69 games this season for the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League and is fourth in the league in scoring with 31 goals and 76 assists.

The 6-foot center is expected to finish the season with Kamloops.

"We are pleased to have him in our organization," Kings general manager Dave Taylor said. "Jared is highly skilled and very creative and is a top prospect."

Blake was the focal point of last month's trade that also sent rookie center Steven Reinprecht to the Avalanche for right wing Adam Deadmarsh, defenseman Aaron Miller, two draft picks and future considerations. He has two goals and seven assists in 12 games with his new team.
