Dagenais opened the scoring with his second goal of the season with 8:44 to play in the first period. Sergei Nemchinov took a slap shot from the left faceoff circle that goaltender Curtis Joseph stopped with his right pad. But the rebound went to Dagenais, who flipped a shot that got past Joseph's right arm.

Bicek got his first NHL goal 22 seconds into the third.

Toronto Defenseman Danny Markov and center Nik Antropov both left the Air Canada Centre during the game. The Maple Leafs have been trying to put together a deal for Eric Lindros, a Toronto native that has battled several concussions over the past few seasons and expressed a desire to leave the Philadelphia Flyers.
