PHOENIX, Dec. 30 -- Jason Kidd scored 27 points while Shawn Marion and rookie Paul McPherson added 20 apiece Saturday night as the Phoenix Suns took Vince Carter's best shot and still came away with a 109-103 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Carter, who had scored 35 and 51 points in his previous two meetings with the Suns, had 46 Saturday night.

He hit 11 of 26 shots and a whopping 22 of 27 free throws, grabbing six rebounds and handing out six assists in 44 spectacular minutes.
But Kidd, Marion and McPherson, a 22-year-old guard out of DePaul, helped the Suns to their highest point total of the season and their third win in four games. Phoenix bounced back from Thursday's humiliating 115-78 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
