HONOLULU, Dec. 30 -- Dean Oliver scored 19 points Saturday night as 22nd-ranked Iowa posted a 68-56 victory over St. Louis in the third-place game of the Rainbow Classic.
Iowa (11-2) edged Detroit, 69-68, in the first round before losing to No. 5 Tennessee, 80-68, in the semifinals.

Maurice Jeffers had 19 points for St. Louis (7-6), which fell to Hawaii, 75-67, in the semifinals.
Iowa increased its lead in the all-time series to 9-6. It was the first meeting between the teams since 1989.
