The Bucks made a late run and cut the deficit to 106-102 on Ray Allen's 3-pointer with 3:05 remaining. But after Allen deflected the ball, Glenn Robinson missed a pull-up jumper with 1:13 to go and Hunter was off with a baseline jumper with 54 seconds left.

Nick Van Exel made two free throws with 31 seconds to play to give Denver a 118-108 lead. The Nuggets did all of their scoring over the final 1:45 from the foul line.

Hunter's 3-pointer with 12.9 seconds to play set the final margin. It followed Robinson's bucket that briefly cut the margin to eight points. Robinson scored 20 of his 31 points in the second half. Allen finished with 26 and Hunter contributed a season-high 24.

Milwaukee fell two games behind first-place Cleveland in the Central Division. Four Bucks fouled out, leaving coach George Karl with only seven available players.NEWLN:
