PATTAYA, Thailand, Nov. 19 -- Third seed Anne Kremer of Luxembourg, making the best of her two final appearances this year by winning them both, breezed Sunday to a 6-1, 6-4 victory over No. 4 Tatiana Panova of Russia in the finals of the Volvo Women's Open.
Kremer, a finalist in this tournament last year, concluded a nearly flawless week in which she did not lose a set and dropped only 25 games in five matches.
She previously won the ASB Bank Classic at Auckland, New Zealand in January.
Panova reached her first career final in six years on the WTA Tour circuit. She advanced when Henrieta Nagyova of Slovakia was forced to withdraw from their semifinal match. Nagyova won last week's event in Kuala Lumpur.
