King rejoins Blackhawks

CHICAGO, Oct. 9 -- The Chicago Blackhawks late Monday brought back veteran left wing Kris King, who was cut by the team in training camp.

The 34year-old King was released after appearing in two preseason games. Terms of his contract were not disclosed.

A veteran of 13 NHL seasons, King has 65 goals and 85 assists in 836 games with Detroit, the New York Rangers, Winnipeg/Phoenix and Toronto.
