Predators sign Brantt Myhres

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 15 -- The Nashville Predators Tuesday signed free agent right wing Brantt Myhres, who had been with the San Jose Sharks.

The 26-year-old Myhres played in 13 games for the Sharks last season, collecting one assist and ranking third on the team with 97 penalty minutes. He was assigned to Kentucky on March 12 and had one goal and five assists in 10 contests for the American Hockey League franchise.

Myhres has appeared in 128 regular-season NHL games over five seasons with Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and San Jose, totaling six goals and two assists with 599 penalty minutes.NEWLN:
