More funerals from church shooting

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 20 -- Three more victims of the shooting at Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth last week are to be buried today. Mourners will attend services for Kristi Beckel, Cassandra Griffin and Joseph Ennis, the only child of a single mother.

All three victims were 14 years old. The services follow by one day a mass gathering at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, where all seven victims of gunman Larry Gene Ashbrook, 47, were remembered. Ashbrook, who investigators believe suffered from severe mental problems, committed suicide in the church last Wednesday, making himself the eighth victim of his rampage. Texas Gov. George W. Bush and his wife were at the memorial Sunday, as were two students from the Columbine tragedy in suburban Denver last spring who offered sympathy. Craig Mason told the crowd, 'We don't want to say that we came here with answers or anything, but we come here with hope, we came here with prayers, our love and support, and we want you guys to know that we're there for you. Wedgwood Baptist Church has been restored from a crime scene back into a house of worship. Bloody carpets and damaged pews have been replaced, but at church services on Sunday, which was the first day back inside for many faithful since the shooting, choir member Sydney Browning's seat bore only a robe and a Bible to mark her memory. Browning was one of Ashbrook's victims. ---
