Philip Morris slams Liggett settlement

NEW YORK, March 20 -- Philip Morris USA has slammed the Liggett Group's tobacco settlement with 22 states. Philip Morris says the states' lawsuit is 'meritless' and the settlement 'has nothing to do with the rest of the industry' and 'changes nothing.' The tobacco giant repeated its call for a new law to settle health claims against the tobacco industry.
