Keanu Reeves hurt on cycle

LOS ANGELES, May 28 -- Actor Keanu Reeves, known for his roles in 'Speed' and 'A Walk in the Clouds,' was recuperating Tuesday with a broken ankle suffered in a weekend motorcycle accident in Hollywood. 'I know that he was in an accident on his motorcycle on Sunday night, that he has a broken ankle, that he is fine,' said Leslee Dart, his publicist.

Gwyn Dilday, spokeswoman for Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, said Reeves remained a patient there Tuesday evening and was listed in good condition and resting comfortably. She said his doctor probably would make a decision Wednesday concerning his release. Reeves, 31, is not shooting a movie now, and Dart said the injury is not expected to conflict with his plans to promote his two latest projects, 'Chain Reaction,' opening Aug. 2, and 'Feeling Minnesota,' opening Sept. 27. She said Reeves also still will tour this summer with his rock band, Dogstar. Reeves, who played a police officer who rescued the passengers on a speeding bus in the 1994 thriller 'Speed,' is reported to be considering a sequel to the movie, reuniting with Sandra Bullock in a new adventure set on a boat. His other movies include 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure,' 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' and 'Much Ado About Nothing.'
