Keith Jackson reports to Packers*

GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 20 -- Keith Jackson, the five-time Pro Bowl tight end who was traded by the Miami Dolphins to Green Bay in March but refused to report, officially reported to the Packers on Thursday. 'We are pleased that he's here and hope he can make a significant contribution to our football team,' said Packers Executive Vice President and General Manager Ron Wolf.

'We have resolved all existing differences and Keith will play under the terms of his original contract. 'We will have no further comment on the contract.' The 30-year-old Jackson was scheduled to earn $1.5 million under his existing contract. It likely will be pro-rated over the regular season games Jackson plays for the Packers. Miami traded Jackson to the Packers March 29 for a second-round draft choice in 1995. But Jackson was upset by the trade and refused to report to Green Bay. Jackson has caught more passes (388) over the past seven seasons than any other tight end in the NFL. He played the first four years of his career with Philadelphia before signing as a free agent with Miami in 1992. Jackson had 59 catches for 673 yards and seven touchdowns for the Dolphins last year, but became expendable when Miami signed tight end Eric Green as a free agent.
