ATLANTA, June 29 -- The Atlanta Hawks Thursday reacquired point guard Spud Webb from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for forward Tyrone Corbin. The Hawks get a 10-year veteran in Webb, who began his career in Atlanta in 1985.
He played six seasons with the Hawks before being traded to the Kings with a second-round draft pick for Travis Mays. Webb spent the last four seasons with the Kings. Last season, he averaged 11.6 points and a team-best 6.2 assists while leading the league in free-throw percentage (93.4 per cent). Corbin has been a steady player, missing only three games in the past six years. He averaged 6.2 points in part-time duty last season, his first with the Hawks. He has also played for Utah, Phoenix, Minnesota, Cleveland and San Antonio in his 10 years in the league.
