CONCORD, Pa., June 19 -- Rap star Notorious B.I.G. has been arrested on a fugitive warrant following a concert in suburban Philadelphia, police said Monday. The Brooklyn, N.Y., rapper, whose real name is Christopher Wallace, was wanted on a fugitive warrant issued May 6 in Camden, N.J., where he allegedly broke a man's jaw and stole his portable phone, jewelry and beeper.
Pennsylvania State Police arrested the rapper early Sunday in Concord Township, Pa., shortly after he performed at the Pulsations nightclub. He was being held without bail in Delaware County Prison. Notorious B.I.G, 23, is also known as Biggie Smalls. His current single, 'One More Chance,' is No. 5 in Billboard Magazine. Recently, Notorious B.I.G worked on Michael Jackson's HIStory album and he has appeared on the television show 'New York Undercover' and on MTV's Spring Break special. His 1994 debut album, 'Ready to Die,' was well received by critics and his second album, 'Back from the Dead,' is scheduled for release this year.
