Broncos sign Mark Schlereth

DENVER, March 27 -- The Denver Broncos signed free agent guard Mark Schlereth Monday to a three-year contract worth $2.4 million.

The 6-3, 278-pound Schlereth played the first six years of his NFL career with the Washington Redskins. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1991 when the Redskins defeated the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVI. Schlereth is the second free agent offensive lineman signed by the Broncos. Denver signed veteran tackle Bill Schultz from the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month.
