Ex-DEA agent: Colombia a narcodemocracy

BOGOTA, Sept. 30 -- Colombian President Ernesto Samper has rejected (Friday) a former U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration official's charges that drug traffickers exert a great deal of power in the Colombian government. Joseph Toft, who headed the DEA's Colombia office, called the nation a 'narcodemocracy.'
