Magic and Sony announce theatre plans

LOS ANGELES, April 26 -- Magic Johnson and Sony Theatres has announced the formation of a new partnership created to develop, build and operate movie theatres in underserved minority urban neighborhoods nationwide. The Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, located in a riot-torn area of Los Angeles, is targeted as the first theater location.
