CLEVELAND, March 6 -- The Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday placed center Brad Daugherty on the injured list and activated forward Larry Nance.
Daugherty is suffering from a herniated disc in his back that has caused him to miss the last five games.
Daugherty is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.
The seven-foot Daugherty is averaging 17 points and 10.2 rebounds in 50 games this season.
The 35-year-old Nance had missed the last five games with a strained tendon in his left arch. Nance has played in just half of Cleveland's games this season due to a variety of ailments. The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 11.3 points and seven rebounds in 29 games.
Both players were injured in a victory over the Washington Bullets on February 23rd.
Guard John Battle is already on Cleveland's injured list with a dislocated right elbow. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
Despite the recent spate of injuries, the Cavaliers have won a season-high nine straight games and are 10-1 since the All-Star break, the best record in the league.
