CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Cavaliers center Brad Daugherty, the team's leading rebounder and second-leading scorer, has been diagnosed with a herniated disc in his lower back and is expected to be out a minimum of four to six weeks.

The 7-foot, 263-pound Daugherty, a five-time All-Star, has missed Cleveland's last three games because of the injury. He is averaging 17 points, 10.2 rebounds and three assists in 50 games this season.

The former North Carolina standout, who has spent his entire eight- year career with Cleveland, was the first player selected overall in the 1986 NBA draft.

The injury-plagued Cavs are also without forward Larry Nance and guard John Battle.
