MINNEAPOLIS -- Voshon Lenard scored 17 points and Jayson Walton added 16 Friday night to lead No. 16 Minnesota to a 73-68 victory over James Madison.

The Gophers (8-3) grabbed the lead for good midway through the first half and held a double-digit lead throughout most of the second half until the Dukes sank three 3-pointers in the final minute to narrow the final margin.

Darren McLinton scored 20 points and Louis Rowe added 17 for James Madison, which dropped to 5-4.
