Woolridge had suffered a broken bone in his right hand a week before the trade was completed and played in only eight games for the Bucks, averaging 5.4 points and 1.1 rebounds.

The 33-year-old Woolridge averaged 16.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for six teams in his 13-year NBA career and is 27th among active players with 12,686 career points.

Woolridge was a first round pick of the Chicago Bulls and the sixth overall selection in the 1981 draft. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward averaged 17.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in five seasons with the Bulls before signing a free agent contract with the New Jersey Nets in 1986.

Woolridge played two years with the Nets before signing as an unrestricted free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1988. He was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 1990 and averaged a career-high 25.1 points in 53 games. Woolridge was traded by Denver to Detroit in August of 1991.
