Miami Heat fine Bol for missing two games

MIAMI -- The Miami Heat Tuesday fined 7-foot-7 center Manute Bol $25,000 for missing two preseason games.

Bol, who had been missing for three days, was in Washington D.C. working for Sudanese famine relief. Bol didn't show up for Miami's two pre-season games in Los Angeles over the weekend and didn't notify the Heat as to his whereabouts.

Bol, who signed with Miami as a free agent during the off-season, spent the past three seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers.
