No. 6 Ohio State 28, Michigan State 21

COLUMBUS -- Raymont Harris' 7-yard touchdown run with 1:06 remaining in the game lifted sixth-ranked Ohio State to a 28-21 victory over Michigan State and allowed the Buckeyes to escape the upset trend among the nation's Top 10 Saturday.

Harris' scoring run capped a 15-play drive, the key play of which was a 17-yard pass from Bret Powers to Joey Galloway on a 3rd-and-10 that carried to the Spartans' 22-yard line.

Michigan State tied the game, 21-21, when Jim Miller hit Scott Greene with a 38-yard touchdown, after which Mill Coleman made a leaping catch on a two-point conversion with 5:37 left in the fourth quarter.

The Buckeyes improved to 6-0 and moved to 3-0 in the Big 10 while Michigan State, which had conquired Michigan the week before, slipped to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

In addition to catching the key pass on the winning touchdown drive, Galloway caught three scoring passes from Bobby Hoying -- a 22-yarder in the first period and throws of 64 and 14 yards in the second.

The Buckeyes built a 21-10 halftime lead, but Michigan State came back to tie it on Bill Stoyanovich's 21-yard field goal and the Miller- to-Greene scoring pass.
