Clinton names two to Amtrak board

WASHINGTON -- President Clinton Tuesday appointed Robert Kiley, a former chairman of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and former Ohio congressman Don Pease to Amtrak's board of directors.

'Robert Kiley and Don Pease have both had long and distinguished careers in public service,' Clinton said in a statement. 'They both will make excellent additions to this important board.'

Kiley, 57, headed New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority from 1983 to 1990. He is currently president and chief executive officer of Fischbach Corp., a New York electrical and mechanical engineering firm.

Pease, 61, a Democrat, served as a U.S. representative from Ohio from 1976 until his retirement from Congress in 1992.
