BEST SEX I EVER HAD -- NOT!: Chuck Jones is getting revenge. Marla Maples ' former publicist got the boot after he was charged with stealing dozens of pairs of shoes from the showgirl's closet, presumably to placate a foot fetish. Jones gets even on Monday's episode of the tabloid TV show 'A Current Affair' by blabbing secrets about his ex- client and her tycoon beau, Donald Trump . Jones claims Maples felt very threatened by The Donald's ex-wife, Ivana . 'She really felt that Ivana was in her path.' And he says Trump 'was more than henpecked' by Maples. As for what must be The Donald's favorite headline ever -- a tabloid teaser quoting Maples as saying he gave her 'The Best Sex I Ever Had' -- that's all balderdash, Jones says. He contends the man who really turned Marla on was singer Michael Bolton . 'That headline made Donald happy. I denied (that Maples had said) it, which got Donald real uptight,' Jones said. 'She really loved Michael Bolton. I think it was real. It had potential and then the reality of it is that Donald Trump would not let her go.'NEWLN:

ENGAGED: Supermodel Naomi Campbell has announced plans to marry rocker Adam Clayton of the Irish band U2 . Proudly flashing an engagment ring, Campbell told viewers on a live talk show on Irish television Saturday night that the 33-year-old bass player had asked for her hand in marriage just 24 hours earlier. The show's host, Pat Kenny , set up the announcement by asking the model, originally from London, if she would ever marry an Irishman. 'Well, actually I am,' replied Campbell, 22. 'Adam popped the question on the phone when I was in New York. We don't have a date because U2 go on tour next month so we'll have to work it out. We want a family but not right now.' The couple reportedly have been seeing each other for past three months. Campbell, by the way, is no stranger to celebrity dates. She's been linked in the past to Robert De Niro , Eric Clapton and Mike Tyson .NEWLN:

OUT OF COMMISSION: Bad boy rockers Guns N' Roses have canceled a series of concerts because of an injury suffered by rhythm guitarist Gilby Clarke . Clarke broke his left wrist in a motorcycle spill Thursday. He was practicing for a celebrity race to benefit a foundation for cancer and AIDS research when the mishap occurred, according to a statement from Geffen Records. The accident forced the band to cancel shows scheduled for last Saturday night in Cincinnati, May 3 in Providence, R.I., May 5 in Albany, N.Y., and May 6 in Amherst, Mass. Clarke will undergo surgery this week on the injured wrist. Guns N' Roses will have wait to hear from his doctors on whether the injury will affect the start of their next overseas tour, scheduled to kick off May 22 in Tel Aviv, Israel.NEWLN:

RATINGS RACE: The ashes of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, are barely cold, so it should be no surprise that the TV movie is on the way. NBC airs 'In the Line of Duty: Ambush in Waco,' on May 23. In fact, filming was already under way when the 51-day siege ended April 19 in an inferno that claimed the lives of David Koresh and 85 followers. NBC wanted the movie to air during the all-important sweeps week, so the cast and crew put in 13-hour days, six days a week to get the project done on time. Tim Daly , the star of 'Wings' and brother of actress Tyne Daly , plays Koresh. He told Entertainment Weekly the fiery end of the cult leader was somewhat eerie for him. 'Monday morning I was playing a guy who was alive, and Monday after lunch I was playing a guy who was dead.' As for 'Ambush' producer Kenneth Kaufman , he denies that the rush to do the film was unseemly. 'Sure, some people might accuse us of exploitation or bad taste,' he said. 'But this isn't one of those quick, piece-of-crap movies that someone just slips on the air to capitalize on the headlines. This is a very complex, very rich, very interesting film.'NEWLN:

SPELLING REBELLING: Shannen Doherty is the undisputed black sheep of the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' gang, but a co-star may be following in her footsteps. Tori Spelling , who plays Donna on the Fox show, is going through a rebellious stage. The 19-year-old actress, daughter of the show's producer Aaron Spelling , has moved out of her parents' palatial 101-room mansion and into her own digs in a bid for independence. 'My parents never let me do the things that everyone else did. They are overprotective,' she told TV Guide. Spelling also made tabloid headlines recently for supposedly drunken behavior when she and Doherty took a trip to Mexico with their boyfriends. Spelling denies being drunk and said the group was only 'on vacation having a good time.' But her on-screen boyfriend, Brian Austin Green , says she's going through a wild stage, and he attributes this to her real-life beau, Nick Savalas ( Telly 's son). 'I think Nick is bad influence on Tori.' As for papa Aaron, he's resigned to letting his daughter do her own thing. 'I'm not going to say anything. I don't think Henry Fonda ever told Jane she should or should not do something. I once asked Hank, 'What do you do with your daughter?' He said, 'Whatever you do, don't tell her no.''
