SuperSonics 109, Warriors 92

SEATTLE -- Ricky Pierce scored 19 points and Shawn Kemp and Nate McMillian added 16 each Saturday night to help the Seattle SuperSonics extend their winning streak to a season-high seven games with a 109-92 triumph over the Golden State Warriors.

The Sonics also won for the ninth time in 11 games.

Seattle trailed 49-45 at the half, but took a 55-53 lead with 8:00 left in the third. Seattle extended its advantage to 75-61 after three quarters.

Tim Hardaway scored 29 and Jeff Grayer added 17 points for the Warriors, who have lost 11 of their last 12 road games.

Guard Sarunas Marciulionis and forward Chris Gatling missed the game for the Warriors. Marciulionis was sidelined with an injured achilles tendon and Gatling was suspended by the league for fighting with Danny Manning of the Los Angeles Clippers.
