Ivana Trump to hawk clothes on Home Shopping Network

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Ivana Trump has signed a contract with the Home Shopping Club to sell a line of clothing and jewelry 'that reflects her level of taste and fashion savvy,' the cable TV network announced Wednesday.

Trump will debut her spring collection on the network in April, said Roy Speer, chairman and CEO of the Home Shopping Network Inc.

The moderately priced line 'looks elegant and expensive' and will reflect Trump's love of 'animal prints, yummy pastels, crisp navy and white combinations and reliable basic black,' Speer said. 'I know our customers will find her fashions and jewelry as smart and beautiful as she is.'

Trump, whose name frequently appears on best-dressed lists, said she had been offered other television opportunities, but chose to work with the Home Shopping Network because 'it's fun to watch and offers great bargains -- and we all love bargains.

'Women are always telling me they love my clothes, so I'm very excited that Home Shopping and I will be able to offer my collection to millions of women nationwide,' Trump said.
