Au Bon Pain bakery cafes take over Warburtons restaurants

PITTSBURGH -- Au Bon Pain, a national chain of French bakery cafes, Monday announced the conversion of six Pittsburgh-area Warburtons restaurants to Au Bon Pains.

The grand openings of the new Au Bon Pain bakery cafes will continue through March.

The Au Bon Pain restaurants in Pittsburgh are the first for the Boston-based chain, which also has stores in Philadelphia.

The six Pittsburgh-area Warburtons converted into Au Bon Pain bakery cafes include five downtown and one in the suburban Ross Park Mall.

Au Bon Pain also manages two bakery cafes in the Pittsburgh International Airport.
