PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed rookie linebacker Elnardo Webster on injured reserved with a knee injury.
Webster, the Steelers' ninth-round draft choice, injured his left knee on a punt in the first quarter of Sunday's 23-6 win in San Diego. He had made two special teams tackles in Pittsburgh's first two games.
To replace Webster on the roster, the Steelers Tuesday signed linebacker Darryl Ford from the Detroit Lions' practice squad.
Ford signed with the Lions as a free agent this year following two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts.
