Dodgers activate Davis

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder Eric Davis on Tuesday and placed infielder Dave Anderson on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring.

Davis had been out since Aug. 2, when he aggravated a fracture of the ulna on his left wrist.

After signing as a free agent during the winter, Davis appeared in 68 games with a .236 batting average, five home runs and 32 RBI.

Anderson, who was placed on the disabled list retroactive to Aug. 22, has played in 43 games, batting .269 with three homers and seven runs batted in.
