Lexus SC 400 Motor Trend Import of the Year

CHICAGO -- Motor Trend magazine Wednesday named the Lexus SC 400 1992 Import Car of the Year -- selecting the luxury sport coupe from a field of 15 nominated cars.

The SC 400, released by Toyota in early 1991, was rated as the best car by seven of the eight Motor Trend judges and had the best scores in six of eight categories: Styling & Design; Quality Control; Occupant Comfort & Convenience; Ride & Drive; Dollar Value/Market Significance; and Handling.
