STILLWATER, Okla. -- Keithen McCant passed for a career-high 231 yards and Derek Brown tied a school record with his fifth straight 100- yard game Saturday, leading No. 13 Nebraska to a 49-15 victory over Oklahoma State.

McCant, who entered the game averaging just 102 yards passing this season and whose previous best was a 173-yard performance against Washington earlier this year, completed 17 of 19 attempts. Nebraska, 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Big Eight, recorded its 18th straight win over the Cowboys.

Nebraska has not lost to Oklahoma State since 1961, though the teams tied in 1973.

Meanwhile, Brown rushed for 143 yards and scored three times and tied Bobby Reynolds' 1950 record of five straight 100-yard games to start a season.

McCant opened the scoring with a 34-yard scoring strike to Tyrone Hughes on Nebraska's opening possession. Brown then rambled uncontested 61 yards to give Nebraska a 14-0 lead on the Cornhuskers' longest run from scrimmage this season.

The Cowboys helped set up Nebraska's next score with a fumble and McCant needed just four plays to give the Cornhuskers a 21-0 advantage. His 13-yard pass to tight end Johnny Mitchell set up Brown's 1-yard run.

McCant tossed his second touchdown pass of the day, an 8-yarder to Mitchell, on Nebraska's first drive of the third quarter. McCant completed all three of his passes on the drive for 29 yards.

OklahomaState used a safety and a field goal to pull within 28-8, but the Cornhuskers dimmed any hopes of a comeback by scoring three times in the first two minutes of the final quarter.

Brown opened the period with a 40-yard touchown run. The Cornhuskers defense forced the Cowboys to punt and Abdul Muhammad caught a 31-yard TD pass from McCant.

Backup quarterback Mickey Joseph led Nebraska down the field a final time, finishing off the drive with a 11-yard run.

Nebraska rolled up 504 yards of total offense, while holding Oklahoma State to 354. Cowboys' quarterback Kenny Ford compiled 254 yards passing.
