Arkansas 114, NE Louisiana 92

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Todd Day led seven Arkansas players in double figures with 23 points Monday afternoon, leading the No. 2 Razorbacks to a 114-92 victory over Northeast Louisiana.

Arkansas, 11-1, next plays at Rice Wednesday in its Southwest Conference opener.

The Indians fall to 3-6.

Anthony Jones led the Indians with 37 points and kept his team within 3 points of the Razorbacks by halftime.

Sparked by a tip-in on the offensive glass by Day and a breakawy slam from senior reserve Ron Huery, the Razorbacks went on a 10-0 run midway through the second half to build an 83-69 lead.

Jones hita 3-pointer at the 8:29 mark to pull Northeast back to within 9, but Day answered with his own 3-pointer and the Indians never got any closer.
