CINCINNATI -- Pete Rose may be banned from baseball, but he's not banned from talking about baseball and being paid for it.
Cincinnati radio station WCKY announced Friday it has hired Rose as a baseball commentator. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Beginning March 19 and continuing through the World Series, Rose will broadcast baseball commentaries Monday through Friday on the station. The 3-minute tape recorded segments will be broadcast at 7:20 a.m. and 4:52 p.m.
Rose also will talk about baseball for an hour each Thursday, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., on the station.
Rose, former star player and manager of the Cincinnati Reds, last year was banned from baseball for life for gambling.
