HARTFORD, Conn. -- Nadav Henefeld scored 17 points and was named Tournament MVP as he led the University of Connecticut to a 84-68 victory Saturday night over Mississippi State in the championship game of the Connecticut Mutual Classic.
Connecticut led 46-29 at the half and the Bulldogs were never able to recover.

John Gwynn and Chris Smith each added 14 points for UConn, while Tate George had 13.
Cameron Burns led MSU with 19 points and nine rebounds. Greg Carter scored 17 for Mississippi and Tony Watts had 14.
Connecticut improved to 10-2 on the season while MSU is 7-2.
In earlier action, Delaware beat St. Joseph's 68-50 for third place in the tournament.
