BALTIMORE -- Singer Mel Torme will be the host for public television's 'Happy New Year, U.S.A.' Dec. 31 from Baltimore's Inner Harbor area and the Omni Hotel.
The 2 -hour program, produced by Maryland Public Television and carried on PBS stations nationwide, will feature singers Rosemary Clooney and Lonette McKee and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

The program also will feature figure skating champions John Curry and JoJo Starbuck and the New Ice Age, an ice dancing company.
