PITTSBURGH -- Mark Macon scored 24 points and Mike Vreeswyk added 19 Thursday night to lead No. 1 Temple to a 94-55 Atlantic Ten Conference triumph over Duquesne.
Temple led by as many as 43 points in improving to 23-1 overall and 16-0 in the conference.

Kevin McCarthy led the Dukes, 9-17, 5-10, with a season-high 15 points.
Temple broke the game open in the first half with a 19-4 run that gave the Owls a 30-10 lead with 8:32 remaining. Temple led 44-18 at halftime.
Temple opened the second half with a 9-0 run to increase its advantage to 53-18. The Dukes followed with a 10-0 surge, cutting Temple's lead to 53-28, but came no closer thereafter.
The Owls used a 21-6 run to build a 76-34 lead with 6:52 to go in the game.
