OSLO, Norway -- Norwegian speedskater Stein Krosby, who earlier this admitted then denied he had sold illegal steroids with Soviet star Nikolay Gulyayev, now says he was on drugs himself in 1986.

Police searched Krosby's home and found a diary describing his use of illegal drugs.

Krosby said he had used Testosterone, a performance-enhancing drug, for six weeks in 1986.

'But I won't use it again,' he said.

Krosby's involvement with illegal drugs was discovered last week at Davos, Switzerland. His longtime friend Gulyayev then asked another Norwegian skater to bring a package to Krosby.

It was opened by officials and contained anabolic steriods.

Krosby first admitted he and Gulyayev had sold steriods in Norway in 1986, but later denied it and claimed they had only discussed doing it.
