Anka's daughter a citizen

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Alicia Anka, the 16-year-old Canadian-born daughter of singer-songwriter Paul Anka, has been sworn in as a U.S. citizen.

U.S. Magistrate Philip Pro administered the oath Monday during a special ceremony in the Foley Federal Building as Anka, his wife Anne, and Harold Exell, regional commissioner of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, watched.

Ezell presented the teenager with a model of the Statue of Liberty, while Pro gave her a citizen's handbook and a copy of of the U.S. Constitution.
