Last season he had 12 goals and 22 assists. Five of his goals were power-play goals.

In nine games of the playffs the 26-year-old had four goals and one assist for five points. He was traded from Edmonton to Toronto in March 1983 for Laurie Boschman.

Allison, 25, has a chronic bad knee and has never played a full season with the Rangers. He can also play left wing.

Last year he played little because of knee surgery and a broken left wrist. In the regular season, he played 28 games with two goals and 13 assists. During the playoffs, Allison took over for Mark Pavelich.
