LISBON, Portugal -- President Said Ali Khamenei of Iran, visiting southern Africa, left Mozambique Sunday for Angola, the Noticias de Portugal news agency said.
No joint statement was issued at the close of Khamenei's 24-stay in the Mozambican capital, where he held talks with President Samora Machel and other government leaders, the agency said.

It said the talks centered on Iranian supplies of oil to Mozambique and cooperation in industrial, educational and agricultural development.
A diplomat, cited by the agency, described the tour as Iran's demonstration of 'active solidarity' with South Africa's black-ruled neighbors and a search for support in Tehran's war with Iraq.
