INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts signed Keli McGregor and put tight end Tim Sherwin on injured reserve Wednesday.
Sherwin underwent knee surgery to repair a partial ligament tear suffered Sunday against the New York Jets.

McGregor, a fourth-round pick for Denver last spring, was signed as a free agent. The Broncos waived the 6-6, 250-pound McGregor three weeks into the regular season.
McGregor played college football at Colorado State.
The Colts also waived tight end Paul Bergmann from the reserve list. Bergmann, from UCLA, was the team's first pick in the 1984 supplemental draft for players in the USFL and the Canadian Football League. He played with several USFL teams.
