Two Panamanians will battle it out for the WBA...

PANAMA CITY, Panama -- Two Panamanians will battle it out for the WBA featherweight championship Saturday, with champion Eusebio Pedroza holding a distinct physical advantage over countryman Jorge Lujan.

Pedroza will be making the 19th defense of his WBA title in New Panama Gymnasium in Panama City in a 15-round bout.

He has 25 knockouts while postinga record of 37-3-1.

At 5-foot-7, the champion is three inches taller than Lujan and has a longer reach. Four days before the bout Pedroza weighed in at 127 pounds, while Lujan weighed 128.

Lujan, 29, is one year older than the defending champion. His record is 27-7 with 16 of his victories coming by knockout.

The only common opponent the two have fought is Mexican fighter Alfonso Zamora, former world bantamweight champion. Zamora knocked out Pedroza on April 3, 1976, in Mexicali, Mexico.

Lujan knocked out Zamora in the 10th round on Nov. 19, 1977, in a title bout in Los Angeles to capture the bantamweight crown.
